Comment: Graduated in 1971 from Carnegie Mellon with a degree in Chemical Engineering and a minor in acting. I landed in Midland,Texas and acted like an engineer for fifteen years while I played on stage in over 30 plays. We took one to Ireland to participate in The International Amateur Theater Festival. Our play "Butterflies Are Free" did not win but I won best actor.

      I married Sally in 1980 and got Claire, now 40 and Lissa, now 47 in the bargain. Our son Keegan was born in 1984. I escaped engineering and ultimately West Texas by joining AIM Distributors in 1986 as a wholesaler of their mutual funds. In 1990 they moved us all to Houston and I became a National Sales Manager and Key Note Speaker. Although Sally and I divorced in 1999 we remain very good friends and my kids and two Grand Kids, Fuller 17, and Layton 15, all live within 5 miles of me in Houston.  

     After 19 years and over a million miles on each of three airlines, I retired on December 31 2005. Three days later was learning lines of Atticus Finch. I was honored when Kenny Wallack and his wife Leslie, Neil and Ginny Gerald, and Gus and Elaine ventured to Houston to see me in that play. Since then I've been in over 25 plays and started my 26th last night, August 9. I met the lovely and intelligence Dr Nanine Ewing in 2009 and we have been together ever since. Last fall we bought an old house together. Built in 1928, it needs a lot of work. So, I've become the general contractor! We will be in Santa Fe a few extra days ahead and are looking forward to seeing everyone. Unfortunately I will first be buying two margaritas for Lee DeMartino since Alabama lost to Clemson.

Comment: I spent 4 years in the Navy including 1 WESTPAC Cruise to Vietnam in 1972-3. Following that I joined the Northbrook Fire Department, first as a Paid-On-Call Firefighter then as a Paid firefighter.  I stayed there for 38 years as a Firefighter, Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain, District Chief and finally as Deputy Chief of Operations.

I retired in 2012 and since have devoted time to my family consisting of my second wife, my 4 kids, her 4 kids and 5 grandchildren.  I also spend time as a Board Member of the Northbrook Historical Society, Life Member of the Northbrook Civic, and various other organizations.  I do set aside time to pacticipate in American Civil War, World War II and Vietnam War Reenacting as well as 2 seperate Radio Clubs.
